Welcome to LockSee! These Terms of Service govern your use of LockSee, a secure communication application designed for both Android and iOS users.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you can form a binding contract with LockSee and agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, rules, and regulations.
LockSee reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on our website or within the application. Your continued use of the Service after such changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
LockSee provides a secure platform for communication, including text, voice, and video calls, as well as file sharing. The Service utilizes QR codes for secure connectivity without disclosing personal information.
You must be at least 16 years old to use our Application.
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Locksee is designed to protect the sensitive information of the User such as mobile number or email id. The method of registration is as follows:
Once the Locksee App is installed, the user is asked to register using name, username, profile image, and mobile number. Users are then directed to the home screen using an OTP sent to their mobile number. Registered users can also log in using their Phone Number and OTP.
The application generates a QR code on the user's device to establish a secure communication path with other devices. Once a user scans a QR code, the application automatically connects them with another user, enabling chat and other functions such as file sharing. The QR code generated can be shared via third-party applications like WhatsApp, similar to UPI payment QR codes, or scanned in person when both users are present.
The application establishes a secure communication path between the user's device and one or more connected devices using the generated QR code. Even after QR code is scanned, the user shall not be able to view the personal contact details such as mobile number or email id of another person to whom it is chatting.
The application securely shares files between the user's device and the connected devices. Shared files can include text, voice and video calls, and data files such as images, audio, video, documents and hyperlinks that can redirect you to any third-party application or websites.
LockSee is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data. We apply a strict data-minimization policy: we collect only what is strictly necessary to provide the Service, and nothing beyond that. The complete list of what we store — and what we explicitly do not store — is detailed in our Privacy Policy.
All messages exchanged in personal one-to-one conversations are protected using AES-256 end-to-end encryption. Messages are encrypted on your device before transmission. Our servers store only the encrypted ciphertext and cannot read your messages under any normal operating condition. Only you and your recipient hold the decryption capability.
All voice and video calls are encrypted in transit using AES-256 encryption. Call content is never recorded, stored, or accessible on our servers. When a call ends, its content is permanently and irreversibly gone. Only call metadata (duration, timestamp, participant identifiers) may be retained for service and compliance purposes.
Group chat messages are not end-to-end encrypted. They are protected by TLS encryption in transit and encrypted storage at rest with server-side access controls. Only users directly connected via QR codes may join a group.
Channel messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Channel message data is retained on our servers for a maximum of 1 (one) calendar month from the date of transmission, after which it is permanently and irrecoverably deleted.
LockSee uses incognito QR codes that conceal your phone number and all personal identifiers — even after scanning. QR codes automatically reset after each successful connection to prevent unauthorized re-connections.
When a participant takes a screenshot of a conversation, all other participants receive an instant notification identifying the person who took the screenshot.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and maintain a professional and productive relationship with other users of the Service.
You agree that the information entered by you while profile creation/updation or using any of Services is true, current, complete and accurate in all respects. The Company is not responsible for any losses arising out of discrepancy in your data.
You shall report to us if You become aware of any disorderly, indecent, harassing or unprofessional behavior/conduct by any User of the Service.
You shall keep your account information up to date.
You shall maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Uses offensive language or descriptions or is likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person
Is obscene, pornographic, violent, immoral or otherwise may offend human dignity
Is abusive, insulting or threatening, discriminatory or which promotes or encourages racism, sexism, hatred or bigotry
Encourages any illegal activity including, without limitation, terrorism, inciting racial hatred or the submission of which in itself constitutes committing a criminal offence
Is defamatory or libelous
Relates to commercial activities (including, without limitation, sales, competitions and advertising, links to other websites or premium line telephone numbers)
Involves the transmission of "junk" mail or "spam"
Contains any spyware, adware, viruses, corrupt files, worm programs or other malicious code designed to interrupt, damage or limit the functionality of or disrupt any software, hardware, telecommunications, networks, servers or other equipment, Trojan horse or any other material designed to damage, interfere with, wrongly intercept or expropriate any data or personal information whether from LockSee or otherwise
Impersonates any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
Itself, or the posting of which, infringes any third party's rights (including, without limitation, intellectual property rights and privacy rights)
Solicits gambling or engages in any gambling or similar activity
Promotes or solicits involvement in or support of a political platform, religion, cult, or sect
Shows another person which was created or distributed without that person's consent
Uses any other automatic device, program, algorithm or methodology, or any or equivalent manual process, to access, acquire, copy or monitor any portion of the Service, to obtain or attempt to obtain any materials, data or information through any means
Interferes with another user's use and enjoyment of the Service
5.7 ⚠️ We have zero tolerance policy and hence any of the afore-said acts shall be treated as a violation of the Terms of services and if such content or information is brought to our notice, then we shall be free to take strict and relevant action against such violation.

Free users of LockSee may encounter advertisements within the application. These ads are designed to be non-intrusive and relevant to the user experience.
6.2
Premium subscribers will not see advertisements and will enjoy an ad-free experience.
You retain ownership of the content you share using LockSee. However, by sharing content, you grant LockSee a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display such content.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to share any content you upload to the Service.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. LockSee disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. LockSee does not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
You expressly agree that LockSee shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses arising from: (i) your use or inability to use the Service; (ii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (iii) actions or statements made by any third party through the Service; or (iv) any other issues related to the Service.
You expressly agree that LockSee is not responsible for unauthorized access to or changes to your transmissions or data, any materials or data sent, received, or not sent, or received, or any transactions conducted through the Service.
You specifically acknowledge that LockSee is not liable for any infringement of others' rights, including intellectual property rights. Furthermore, LockSee is not responsible for any services provided or included in the application by third parties.
LockSee does not guarantee compatibility with all operating systems, smartphones, networks, or their versions. The use of the smartphone, app, and automatic software updates may require updates to your device's operating systems, networks, and application software.
Ensuring the application functions properly on your device, including maintaining sufficient battery backup and internet network strength, is your sole responsibility.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LockSee, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, consultants, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that arise from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement by you or any third party using your account of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity.
LockSee takes data protection seriously. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

All intellectual property rights in the Service, including but not limited to trademarks, service marks, logos, design, copyrights, and patents, are owned by Mr. Waqar Chaudhary who is one of the promoters of LockSee and by virtue of this, LockSee has exclusive rights to owe and exclusively enjoy such intellectual property rights.
You may not use any intellectual property of LockSee without our prior written consent.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by LockSee. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that LockSee shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by the Company of the site or any association with its operators.
You acknowledge and agree that your use of any Linked Sites is subject to the terms of use, license agreement, privacy policy, or any other agreement of the third party. LockSee disclaims all responsibility for any disclosure of information or any other practices by any third party. LockSee expressly disclaims any warranties regarding your personal or other information that may be collected, processed, shared, or retained by any third party.
LockSee reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you in these Terms will immediately cease.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which LockSee is headquartered at Office No. E2-105, Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Ramahi, Al Muteena, Dubai, UAE without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within that jurisdiction.
In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, you and LockSee agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting each other. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of the initial notice through mediation, either party may proceed to resolve their disputes through arbitration as mentioned at 17.2.
If the parties failed to resolve their disputes under 17.1, then the dispute shall be finally and exclusively be resolved through arbitration, which may be initiated by either party by sending a written notice requesting the other party to appoint a sole arbitrator. The arbitration shall take place in Dubai, UAE.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and LockSee regarding the use of the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
The failure of LockSee to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
No agency, partnership, joint venture, employee-employer or franchiser-franchisee relationship between you and us is intended or created by this Agreement.

You acknowledge and agree that all Feedback will be the sole and exclusive property of LockSee, and you hereby irrevocably assign to LockSee all of your rights, title, and interest in and to all Feedback, including all intellectual property rights therein.
