Local Storage & Similar Technologies
Beyond cookies, Locksee also uses local storage and session storage within the mobile app. These technologies work similarly to cookies — they store small pieces of data on your device — but are accessed only by the Locksee app itself.
Local Storage uses
- Caching encrypted message data for offline access
- Storing your contact list and QR code history locally
- Saving draft messages you haven't sent yet
- Retaining media thumbnails for faster loading
- Keeping your premium subscription status for UI rendering
Session Storage uses
- Temporary storage during active call sessions
- QR code scan data during the connection flow
- In-progress form data (e.g., profile editing)
Your Choices & Controls

You can reset or limit your mobile advertising ID at any time:
In-app controls
- Navigate to Settings → Privacy within the Locksee app to manage data sharing preferences
- Toggle Personalised Ads off to receive non-targeted ads (free users only)
- Contact help@locksee.app to request deletion of any analytics data we hold about you
Premium subscription
Upgrading to a Locksee Premium membership automatically removes all advertising cookies and third-party ad tracking from your experience. This is the most comprehensive way to opt out of advertising-related tracking on the Platform.
Mobile App Tracking
Because Locksee is primarily a mobile application (available on Android and iOS), most tracking occurs through mobile SDKs and device identifiersrather than traditional browser cookies.

Children's Privacy
Locksee is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information or place tracking cookies on the devices of children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has used Locksee and we may have collected data about them, please contact us immediately at help@locksee.app so that we can take appropriate steps to delete the data.
Policy Changes
