Preamble
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement, which governs the relationship between you ("User" or "You" or "Your") and Locksee Information Technology, LLC, a Company incorporated under the Laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, having its head office at Office No. E2-105, Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Ramahi, Al Muteena, Dubai, UAE ("Locksee" or "Company" or "we" or "us" or "our"), owner and operator of the Locksee Software/Application and Locksee content, for the use of the Locksee mobile application/software ("Application").
By using the services, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and You represent that you have either reached the legal age of maturity in your jurisdiction, as defined by applicable laws, or that your parent or legal guardian has agreed to be bound by these Terms on your behalf by allowing you access to the Services.
⚠️ Minors or persons with limited capacity to contract under the law of their country of residence are not permitted to use the services without the consent of their parent or legal guardian, who assumes full liability for the purposes of these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
License Grant
Subject to your compliance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, the Company grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to purchase, download, install, and use the Application on your mobile device solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
Your Consent
To access and utilize the platform and features of the Services provided by us, you agree and consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage, disclosure and sharing of your information as described and collected by us in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with the Policy, please do not use or access our given Platform.
In addition, you acknowledge and agree to provide us with your phone number. You expressly acknowledge and consent that we may periodically access your contact list and/or address book on your mobile device to identify and track the mobile phone numbers for the provision of Services to the extent permitted under applicable law.
When you provide your phone number to us, you must ensure that the information is accurate and complete.
By subscribing to and using the Services provided by us, you expressly consent to our use of the phone numbers you provide for the purpose of accessing and using the Services.
You are prohibited from using another person's phone number without their explicit permission.
Restrictions
By agreeing to use the Services provided by us, you accept the Terms and conditions, and you agree to the following:
You will not use the Services or application made available to you for any illegal purposes or purposes for which they are not intended.
You will comply with all applicable age restrictions related to the Services.
You will not engage in any activity that could potentially exploit children or promote violence, terrorism, extremism, or hate.
You will not engage in any activity that could lead to or be considered as misrepresentation, fraud, or manipulation of any party.
You will not harm the reputation of Locksee/Company, its Services, or its intellectual property. You will not hack, amend, reverse engineer, or otherwise tamper with Locksee/Company's systems or software.
You will not emit or transmit any viruses, bugs, or other harmful elements that could affect the Services or facilities.
You will not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others by sharing content that may infringe on third-party copyrights, whether registered or unregistered.
You will not publicly display or use the Services provided by us, to share inappropriate content or material, such as nudity, pornography, offensive language, graphic violence, or criminal activity.
You will not engage in phishing, send or distribute unsolicited communications to others, or violate the privacy rights of others, including through spamming or sending unsolicited contact requests, messages, or calls.
You will not promote, support, or encourage illegal consumption of alcohol or tobacco.
You will not attempt to circumvent any restrictions on access to or availability of the Services.
You will not use or deploy any automated systems, including but not limited to "robots", "spiders", "offline readers", or "load testers" such as wget, Apache Bench, MS Web Stress, HTTP Load, Blitz etc., or similar tools, to access the Services provided by us, in a manner that sends more request messages to our servers in a given period than a human could reasonably produce in the same period using our application. You will not digitally extract content unless expressly permitted to do so.
⚠️ We strictly prohibit any efforts to reverse-engineer our systems or protocols, or to explore beyond the boundaries of normal requests made by Locksee users. The use of request modification tools, such as Fiddler, Whisker, or similar tools, is not permitted, especially when such activities are intended to explore, harm, penetrate, or test the site.
You must obtain our express permission before measuring, testing, performing health checks, or otherwise monitoring any network equipment, servers, or assets hosted on the Services. You also agree not to collect or harvest any personally identifiable information, including account names, from the Services provided by us.
Links to Other Websites
Our Platform may contain links to other websites which can be redirected through Google Ads for the Non-Premium users. Any personal information about you collected whilst visiting such websites is not governed by this Policy.
We shall not be responsible for and have no control over the practices and content of any website accessed using the links contained on our Platform. This Policy shall not apply to any information you may disclose to any of our service providers/service personnel which we do not require you to disclose to us or any of our service providers under this Policy.
Information We Collect From You
📋 Data Minimization Commitment: We collect only the data listed below — nothing more. What we do not store is explicitly listed in our Privacy Policy — Section 6.
6.1 Account Registration Data
To create a Locksee account, we collect and store the following:
Your phone number is your unique identifier on Locksee. We do not generate a separate user ID — your phone number is your identity on the platform.
A display name chosen by you at registration.
Stored as a URL reference on our secure servers. We do not store any other images from your device.
Stored as a URL reference on our secure servers.
Optional descriptive text voluntarily provided by you.
Used solely to display your online/offline status to connected users.
Recorded once at initial account registration for security and fraud prevention. Never overwritten after registration.
Updated to reflect your most recent login session only. We do not maintain a historical log of all your IP addresses.
With your explicit permission, we access and store phone numbers from your device contacts to identify other Locksee users. We do not collect contact names, emails, or any other contact attributes.
6.2 QR Code Connectivity
Upon account creation, a unique QR code is generated for your account. We record QR scan events and connection timestamps to manage your connections. The QR code is masked — it does not expose your phone number or any personal identifier when scanned. QR codes reset automatically after each successful scan to prevent unauthorized re-connections.
6.3 Message & Communication Data
Personal (1-on-1) Chats — AES-256 End-to-End Encrypted: All messages in personal one-to-one conversations are protected using AES-256 end-to-end encryption. Messages are encrypted on your device before transmission and can only be decrypted by the intended recipient. Our servers store only the encrypted ciphertext and cannot read your messages under any normal operating condition. Upon receipt of a verified legal enforcement request, authorized personnel may — with prior written notice to the user — access specific messages using a unique per-message decryption identifier.
Voice & Video Calls — AES-256 Encrypted, Never Recorded: All voice and video calls are encrypted in transit using AES-256 encryption. Call content is never recorded, stored, or accessible on our servers. Once a call ends, its content is permanently and irreversibly gone. Only call metadata (duration, timestamp, participant identifiers) may be retained.
Group Chats — Not End-to-End Encrypted: Group chat messages are not end-to-end encrypted. They are protected by TLS encryption in transit and encrypted storage at rest with server-side access controls. Only users directly connected via QR codes may join a group conversation.
Channels — Not End-to-End Encrypted, 1-Month Retention: Channel messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Channel data is retained on our servers for a maximum of 1 (one) calendar month from the date of transmission, after which it is permanently and irrecoverably deleted from all servers and backups.
6.4 Data Retention & Legal Disclosure
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is mandated by applicable law.
We may access and share your information when necessary to: (a) comply with applicable legal process or government requests; (b) enforce our Terms and policies; (c) detect, prevent, or address fraud, illegal activity, or security threats; or (d) protect the safety of users or others.
6.5 Cookies & Session Data
Session information including IP address, MAC address, and device type may be collected through cookies or session tokens for security and compatibility purposes. This data is treated as personal information under this Agreement.
6.6 Customer Support Data
If you contact our support team, we collect your support request content and technical diagnostic logs required to resolve the issue. This data is used exclusively for support resolution purposes.
Intellectual Property Rights
The Application and all rights, title, and interest in and to the Application, including without limitation any and all copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights therein, are and shall remain the exclusive property of the Company or its licensors.
This Agreement does not convey to you any rights of ownership in or related to the Application.
Privacy and Data Collection
Your use of the Application is subject to the Company's Privacy Policy, which is hereby incorporated by reference into this Agreement. By using the Application, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as set forth in the Privacy Policy.
Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated by either party. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the Application and destroying all copies of the Application in your possession.
For services that require separate payment you may cancel the Services at any time, with or without cause and the cancellation will then be effective at the end of the subscription period and current billing cycle.
Company Termination Rights
The Company may terminate this Agreement at any time without notice if you fail to comply with any term or condition of this Agreement or you have violated any of the terms or the privacy policy. Locksee may stop provision of services to you with immediate effect and Locksee may block your access to your account or subscription.
Investigation Rights
When investigating any potential infringement or any illegal act from you, we may gain access to your content for the purpose of investigation and block any transmission that is against the terms and the Privacy Policy or applicable Law of Land. Upon termination, you shall cease all use of the Application and destroy all copies of the Application.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
The Company does not warrant that the Application will meet your requirements or that the operation of the Application will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other tangible/intangible losses, resulting from the following:
Your use or inability to use the Application
Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through the Application by any third party
Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Application
The defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of any third party
In no event shall the Company's aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Application exceed the amount paid by you to the Company for the Application.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Dubai, UAE, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Changes / Amendments to this Agreement
The Company reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. In the event of material changes to this Agreement, we will notify you by updating the effective date of the Agreement and providing notice through the Application and/or other appropriate means.
Your continued use of the Application following such changes will constitute your assent and/or acceptance of the revised Agreement and the terms entailed therein.
Locksee may make changes to the services and update the software. Any such software changes and configuration changes may be implemented automatically or may require you to download or update the version of the software. It may also be required to remove certain feature or functionality of the services or discontinue any aspect of the services or stop provision of services completely. We accept no liability to any person for any such changes.
